Top 5 Video Games of 2011

For gamers, the year 2011 was a terrible year as there were a lot of good titles released since the first quarter down to the last. In fact, last year was a memorable time for gamers because there were a lot of things that happened alongside solid title lineups. Thus, it is worth remembering just like others.
Speaking of remembering, here is a list of 5 solid titles released in 2011:
Batman: Arkham City- although this is a reboot of the old Batman franchise, there is still so much excitement that goes with the title. Aside from the new technology used for the game, new challenges and characters await the gamer. The bias resulted from seeing Batman movies and other games make it more like a new one. This time, Batman: Arkham City is so unpredictable.
Mass Effect 3- this game is one of the most sought-after video games last year. Naughty Dog, the developer, did a good job in maintaining the plot from the first iteration. It is a shooter/RPG game and there's more to it than what everybody thinks.

Battlefield 3- this is the closest rival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 when it comes popularity. It is a first-person shoot game which also maintains the continuity started since the original Battlefield. The release package was stable that's why it received really good reviews from gamers and critics alike.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim- the fact is Skyrim has overtaken Electronic Arts' 8-year dominance streak in UK last year beating Battlefield 3 and there should be a reason why. It is clear enough that Skyrim transcended beyond its limit. Perhaps, the reason why it didn't spike its sales during the launch is because it was released on the same week Modern Warfare 3 was launched.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3- being the highest grossing entertainment product of all time is not an ordinary achievement for anything on earth. Modern Warfare 3 is a breakthrough in the gaming industry. Although it was released in the last quarter of 2011, it made really good impressions on gamers who have been waiting for its release.
MW3 was dubbed as "Game of the Year" during Spike's Video Game Award which means it has beaten everything as long as gaming is concerned. With a new downloadable content (DLC) coming this month, it is expected to create another hype in the world of gamers.
An Australian gaming community gave Modern Warfare 3 a 9.5 out of 10 review. Video games are often the center of bad criticisms but in MW3's case, it seems that critics have agreed to give it a good review.
